The Iowa Golf
Association is pleased to announce the 2010 Members Net Tour
schedule. Once again we will be visiting some of the states
top venues. The schedule includes seven one-day events plus
a two-day season ending Championship at Tournament Club of
Iowa in Polk City, host site of the 2009 IGA Match Play
Championship.
The schedule
opens with a pair of 18-hole events on Monday, June 7th
and Tuesday, June 8th at Blue Top Ridge at
Riverside. Whether you’re only able to play one day or can
stay and play both, make sure to be the first stop of the
year. Open since 2007, these will be the first IGA
conducted events at the Rees Jones designed course.
The Tour moves
to northwest Iowa for another set of back-to-back events in
July. Monday, June 19th will be at a site to be
announced in early 2010. The Ridge Golf Club in Sioux
Center will play host on Tuesday, July 20th. The
Ridge Golf Club opened in the spring of 2009 and promises to
be a strong host site.
While June and
July each have two events, August offers a season-high three
events on the calendar. A north central Iowa stop at Mason
City CC on Monday, August 2nd kicks off the month
and a visit to central Iowa ends the month. The third and
final back-to-back events of season will be at Ames Golf &
CC on Monday, August 30th and The Harvester on
the following day. All three of the August sites have
hosted IGA Championships in the past five years.
The season
concludes at The Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City in
late September. The championship will keep the same
Sunday-Monday scheduling as in the past years. Players will
be assigned starting times in the first round, Sunday,
September 26th and a morning shotgun on Monday,
September 27th will conclude the 36-Hole
Championship.
While the 2010
Members Net Tour will once again offer a mix of Individual
Net and Four-Ball Net Stroke Play, the format at each host
site will be announced in the early part of 2010. Stay
tuned to
www.igamembersnettour.org for more updates!
Now in its 5th
season, the IGA Members Net Tour is a series of one-day
events for all members of the IGA. Individual membership is
tracked through the GHIN Handicap Rosters at each IGA member
club. The Iowa Golf Association is looking forward to the
2010 season and encourages all IGA Members to gather their
friends and come out and enjoy a fun day of golf, lunch and
prizes at these great IGA Member Clubs!
