2012 IGA Members Net Tour
Announcing the events and formats
IGA Members (individuals with a GHIN # from a member club) can look forward to a great mix of Member Play Days and Members Net Tour events in 2012.
The Members Net Tour will once again use the Stableford point system based on Net scores all season long; the format of play will vary, this year there are two individual events and two team events.
The fist event of the year at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown features a new format not previously played on the Members Net Tour, a four-person team event. Each team member will play their own ball from the tee of their choice (as is the case with all events). The team will count the best three individual point totals toward their team total.
The other team event is at Fort Dodge CC in mid-August and features Four-Ball (two-person team) stroke play in which the team counts the best score on each hole.
The remaining two stops, Ellis GC in Cedar Rapids and River Valley GC in Adel, offer individual stroke play.
Entries for Members Net Tour and Member Play Day events will open on March 1st. Get your groups together and enter early to ensure your spot in these events.
More About the Members Net Tour…
The Members Net Tour is a series of one-day events for both male and female individual members of the IGA. Not sure if you are a member? All individuals who have an active GHIN number from an IGA Member Club are members of the IGA!
This member service provides an opportunity to play in IGA conducted events in a relaxed, fun environment. Entry fees include green fees, range balls (when available), and prizes.
The events vary in format between individual and team play, but regardless of the format golfers always play their own ball from the tee of their choice. Team members are not required to play from the same set of tees.
Golfers of all abilities have participated. The IGA encourages all interested participants to gather a group of golfers and enter an event today. You can send pairing requests to jason@iowagolf.org along with any other questions you may have. |
